Lonely-91

As I continued my quest for the sunrise on the Blue Ridge Parkway I passed one car in ten miles. I finally found an overlook with a nice view of the mountains. I pulled over set up my tripod and waited. I spent about 20 to 30 minutes shooting the sun at various stages and realized not one car had passed me the whole time. I was up there by myself. My kids were asleep at the hotel and my husband couldn't come with us. So it was me, the sunrise, the Blue Ridge Mountains and all the little noises I was hearing around me. The sunrise wasn't the best I've seen. A little too cloudy, but I was thankful for what I got.

It's a fantastic image and an excellent idea for the theme. I love the soft and gentle look of the rolling hills...

Beautiful! I've been in those solitary situations, and they just stir the soul, don't you think?

I like the layers. The mountains, the fog, the clouds, the light. Nicely done.
