Exotic-62

I shot this the other night during the full moon. I went to take the trash out of all things and I saw how the moon was rising behind my neighbors mimosa tree. There was a cloud over the moon and I saw the moonlight shimmering through the mimosa blooms and ran and grabbed my camera and tripod. I captured the image as I saw it. I know it looks like a black and white photo, but it was shot in color and still is. Mimosa trees seem out of place to me in Tennessee. They look tropical and exotic and this shot made me think of being stranded on an exotic island in the pacific and looking up at the moon wondering when help would come. My imagination gets the best of me sometimes.

Very exotic! What a fantastic image, too. Good for you for dropping the garbage to grab the camera!

That's beautiful, Deb - well worth dropping things for, to grab the moment!
