Dawn-300

I'm not really sure what the difference between "dawn" and "sunrise"(theme 71) is. I suppose maybe it's that time just before the sun actually rises. To get this shot so early in the morning, I walked up behind the house that blocks my view off my deck of the sunrise. Well, they have quite a view. An unobstructed one at that. Lucky dogs.

Someone else asked this, and this was what I replied - "dawn" is very early in the morning, on any day. "Sunrise" is when the sky is pink or orange or something. Sometimes, a dawn is just the sky going from dark blue to light. To me, there's a difference in those days where it just gets light, as opposed to where there's orange or pink clouds.

But well done you being up that early and getting such a good photo!

Lovely sky. Dawn is when there is the very first line of light appearing, whereas sunrise is when the sun rises above the horizon.
