This photo symbolizes sacrafice to me for 2 reasons. My niece Bailey who is in Africa serving as a missionary, made these Prayer bracelets to sell and earn money for her mission trip. A trip which she herself has sacrificed a great deal. Oh, she wouldn't think so. She actually wouldn't have it any other way, but how many 18 year olds are there that would spend that 18th year doing for others. While most of her friends went off to college and a whole new independence, our Bailey was inspired by this path she took. Which in turn has inspired all of us who love her. I put this bracelet on my rear view mirror so I constantly am reminded of how much she has given up for the Lord. The other reason is for what this bracelet symbolizes. Each bead represents a piece of the story of Christ. He who gave the ultimate sacrifice for us all. The following is from a card that came with each bracelet to show what each bead
stands for.
"One night there was a bright star
Which guided three men
Who were the three wise men
To the birth of Jesus
Who later in life became a carpenter
And a fisher of men and souls.
He had twelve apostles
who spread the Word of Christ.
But on one black day of hatred, envy & death
He was crucified.
He shed His blood for us
to purify & save us.
He rose and is now in Heaven
seated with the Father and the Holy Spirit,
And He did all this because of His great love for us."

The beads made for a really nice shot against the rainy windshield. Good idea for the sacrifice theme. She surely is doing that!
I think it's one of those where it might seem a sacrifice to others, but as you said, Bailey herself wouldn't consider it a sacrifice - more a learning experience and rewarding to her.
I hope she has a wonderful remainder of her year there, and that she can inspire others to be so generous with their time and energy.
A lovely shot!
